Exciting News

Mommy's usually cheap landlady had a new door installed for me today. Now I can sit and look out into the hallway. I love it, I tell you, I love it. Here I am getting ready to see what's going on out in the hallway.

Thank you, cheap landlady!

Me and TV

Mommy bought some videos for me. I love them. As soon as she puts one in and I hear the music, I run to the television set. Here I am getting ready to watch my Kitty Show.

And here I am watching a bug go across the screen. I love it, I tell you, I love it. Tell your mommy to buy you a Kitty Show.

Mommy's New Wall Hanging

Mommy has another new wall hanging.  She is afraid to put a picture over her bed because we have had so many earthquakes she is afraid it might fall down and clunk her on the head. So Daddy came over tonight and put up this new quilt.

I think it's so pretty.

I'm Not the Only Sleepy One

My mom works very hard and she says it's very stressful. She always comes home very tired and sometimes falls into bed without eating. A couple of times she came home and opened the door and dropped to the floor on her hands and knees. She says this hurts her knees very much. At first I thought she was playing with me, but then she didn't seem to want to play. It is about three of my hops from the door to the living room rug. Mommy crawled to that rug, reached up and grabbed a pillow from the couch and slept right there on the floor. Whew! Now that's tired. I didn't mind though. I just sat there and waited for her to wake up. After about two hours she did wake up and got up and went to bed. She collapsed on the bed in her clothes and didn't even take her shoes off. About two hours later she woke up again and took off her shoes, but stayed in her clothes. Boy, did she look a wreck in the morning. She seemed really happy to climb in the shower. What! Is she crazy? She likes the shower!

My mommy is so tired because she is sick, but she doesn't talk about it much. She doesn't like people to know. However, she says it's getting harder and harder to hide it from people because she is getting weaker and weaker. She has one of those motorized scooters to help her from getting so tired when she has a long ways to walk. It has a little basket on it. Gee, I wish she would give me a ride in that basket.

Now I know you're probably wondering what sickness makes my mom so tired, so I'll tell you. She has this nasty disease called multiple sclerosis, but she just refers to it as MS. You cannot see MS or smell MS or often know that a person has MS, but MS is with a person for the rest of their lives. People who have MS usually live a shorter life than people without it because their immune systems are messed up. This means that Mommy needs to stay away from people with colds, sore throats, flu, etc. I'm so happy she can't catch anything from me because I want her to live longer than me. If Mommy could catch any cat diseases, she'd have done so a long time ago. heh

If you would like to know more about MS, you can visit the National MS Society to learn about this illness which makes my mom sick. If you live in San Diego, you can go to the MS Dinner Auction which has a page on Facebook to show your support for my mom and others with MS.

xoxox I love you, Mommy.

Mommy Did It Again

Mommy took me to the groomer again because she said my fur was getting too long. Here I am. She says I look beautiful. I think I look silly. What do you think?

Keeping Cool

My fur is now growing since my haircut and it's beginning to get awfully warm. So I have ways I keep cool. As you know, one way I keep cool is by climbing in the refrigerator. Once I even managed to get into the freezer. Mommy's computer is made from metal and metal gets really, really cold. So when Mommy closes her computer all up I like to climb on top of it. I can stay really cool this way.

Selling the Old Stuff

Mommy sold her old radio today. She said she had it for years and years, but it's time to downsize. I hope she doesn't get rid of me. That would be terrible. Where would I go. Who would feed me?

Mommy's New Wall Hangings

Mommy bought some wall hangings today from a lady who makes quilts. Daddy came over and hung them up for us. I like them, especially the one in the kitchen with the bugs and the butterflies. Now I have something to climb.

Noisy Me

Did I ever tell you how much I like to make noise? Well, I do. I love knocking things over or off tables onto the floor just so I can hear the noise it makes. Mommy bought this plastic thing to keep cotton rounds in the other day. Mommy cleans my eyes with cotton rounds. You see, I am a Persian kitty and Persian kitties' eyes cry all by themselves. We don't have to be sad to cry; our eyes just cry all the time. Because of this, my eyes get all gunked up and then I have trouble seeing. So Mommy wets some cotton rounds with water and cleans my eyes. I'm always good when Mommy cleans my eyes because it feels very good and afterward I can see again. However the plastic thing Mommy bought I just can't resist. I especially love knocking it over in the middle of the night when Mommy is sleeping. This gets Mommy up real quick. Last night after I knocked it over she got up and hid it from me. I wonder why she did that. Then this morning after she cleaned my eyes I knocked it over again as you can see in this picture. Mommy just gave a big sigh.
