Lotsa Water

Mommy buys water in bottles. She says it's in case of a big earthquake, that we will have plenty of water to drink. Mommy does wonder, however, if there is an earthquake and she's not near the water bottles, how she will get to the water if our house crashes down around us. I'm little. Maybe I could get to the water for Mommy. In the meantime I'm going to stay near the water as much as possible.

Just Lounging Around

Mommy says I'm bad because I like to sleep on the table. She says she can't set the table when I'm all stretched out on it. Here I am and I really don't know what she's talking about. There is still plenty of room for a plate.

The Great Escape

The other day Mommy was leaving for work. She had her arms full of everything but the kitchen sink. That's an expression people sometimes use, "everything but the kitchen sink". I don't quite understand it, but Mommy uses it a lot. Anyway, Mommy opened the door to leave for work, and, quick like a bunny, (that's another expression) I ran between her legs and I was FREE!! Freedom was wonderful. Not that I don't like where I live, but it was so good to be out. However, I had no idea where I was. There was just this long hallway.

I took off running down the hall. Mommy dropped everything in her arms right there on the floor and chased after me. I ran down a little way and turned right. Oh no. No way out there. Mommy tried to catch me when I turned around and came back. I turned back down the hallway the way I was going in the first place. Mommy came after me. Then she stopped. I saw I could not get out that way and so I turned back towards my mommy. Mommy knelt down. I tried to squeeze myself between Mommy and the wall, but Mommy lunged forward and grabbed me. I tried to get loose, but she wouldn't let go of me. Mommy was upset. She stood up and held on very tightly to me. Geez, Mommy, not so hard. Then Mommy walked back down the hall and opened the door to where we live. I knew she was very mad at me. I could feel her heart pounding. Mommy said I was very bad, but then kissed me on top of my head. I like it when my mommy kisses me. I know she loves me. Maybe some day I will escape again.

Me and the Net

Mommy bought something today which came in a net like thingamajig. I was very curious about it and eventually got my head caught in it. Here I am playing with it.

Gives New Meaning to the Phrase "Cool Cat"

Whenever I'm hot I take a little nap in the refrigerator. Mommy does not like it when I do, but a cat's got to do what a cat's got to do.

Did you know the light goes off when the refrigerator door is closed? Trust me, it does.

Mommy's Birthday Present

Mommy received a birthday present in the mail today.
She was so excited. I wasn't. It was a new cat.
First I just sat and looked at him.

Then I smelled his tail.

Then I looked him all over.

Then I tried to eat him.

Mommy took him away from me. Now he sits on the patio.

Good riddance!

Mommy is So Much Fun

I will just bet anything that my Mommy is more funner than yours. Today mine mopped the floor and it's always fun to chase the mop, but then she sat down to read in her favorite chair and drink some coffee. I just sat there waiting to see if she was going to do something fun again. My Mommy never fails to disappoint me. She put her coffee cup down and missed the little table she was putting it on and it fell to the floor and smashed all to pieces. Of course the coffee went everywhere all over the floor and up the sides of the chair and the sofa. I think Mommy then said a swear word; it was difficult to understand her. I then started to play with Mommy's broken cup and batted it around the room. Mommy told me to stop it. Then Mommy grabbed her mop again and started mopping up all the coffee. This whole thing didn't last very long, but it was sure fun while it lasted. I think there is a word for what Mommy is. I think it's called a klutz.

This is the mug Mommy broke.

Mommy Has Been Stocking Up

Mommy has been stocking up on booze. I think she may be going to have a party. Look at what is in her cupboard.

Going for a Walk

Sometimes Mommy puts me in my stroller and takes me for a walk. I don't like not being able to run and play next to Mommy, but Mommy says it's for my own good. She says it's to keep me safe. It's kind of like strapping your seat belt on when you're in a car. She says I can't run away if I'm zipped into my stroller and that she can protect me better from dogs and wild animals. Mommy says she would come between me and a wild animal to protect me. I guess that's how mommies are. They love their children no matter what they do, how bad they are, or even children who don't love them back. I know I'm bad, but I still love my Mommy. I still wish she'd let me run loose though. Anyway, here are some pictures of me in my stroller.

As you can see my stroller zips right up. Sometimes Mommy puts me on the patio in my stroller when she is watering her plants.

Hiding

I love to hide from Mommy. Here I am hiding between the refrigerator and the bottom of the cupboards. I would climb down behind the refrigerator but I cannot fit. Do you hide from your mommy? Mommy says it's bad of me to hide from her.

Helping Myself to a Drink

I really hate drinking water out of a bowl. I prefer a glass. Mommy prefers I drink from my bowl.

Here I am thinking about sneaking a drink.

Here I am ready to dive right in.

Here I am drinking.

I am a very thirsty kitty.

Cleaning myself up.

Mommy never caught me. tee hee

Helping Mommy Some More

Thought I'd help Mommy clean the dishes. Lots of good food still on them.
