Well, Mommy took me to the vet this morning and dropped me off because she couldn't get an appointment for me. The vet has what is called drop off appointments and he just had a cancellation. This means that Mommy had to leave me (very upsetting) alone at the vet's and the vet then saw me at lunch time. Egad, what that man did to me. Meow. I heard him call my mommy and tell her that I had a very high fever. I could have told him that if he'd only asked. He also told her that I had fleas. I have never had a flea in my life and I am 5 years old. I know my mom and I know she probably almost dropped dead from a heart attack at that news.
Anyway, the vet said that he was pretty sure I was having a delayed reaction to a shot I received last week and that is why I had a high temperature. I'm just so tired and hot. He gave me some medicine and Mommy has to give it to me every day for awhile. I am going to shut my mouth real tight so she can't get it in. I don't like that medicine. Tastes yucky. He is also giving Mommy some Advantage to take care of the flea problem.
Now I think I know where I got these fleas. Little Miss Chiquita. Chiquita is Daddy's new rescue kitty and Mommy says he must now put some Advantage on her and also on Little Miss Molly. These flea things can be such a problem. They bite me really hard. Mommy does not believe in Advantage because she says she doesn't like poison going into my body, but now she feels like she has no choice. And Mommy is even allergic to fleas. It beats me how she didn't know I had them since she combs me a lot. I guess mommies aren't perfect. However, I am going to make her feel very, very guilty. heheh
I can't wait to feel better so I can scratch Molly again. I really miss that. It's such fun. I guess that's one of the bad things I do, but if it's bad, why is it fun? I don't think it can be all that bad.
And to Troubles: Thanks for thinking of me, Troubles. We'll chat again soon.
